Deerfield Community Nursery School (DCNS), a developmental nursery school established in 1964, serves the community by offering this type of rich and stimulating program. DCNS fosters close parent-staff and family to family relationships. These connections, that are created gradually, are genuine qualities of the DCNS experience. DCNS welcomes all preschool-aged children and has no religious affiliation. We are proud to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the nation's largest organization of early childhood educators. Accreditation is a voluntary process where programs undergo a comprehensive process of self-study, along with an external professional review to verify compliance with the criteria for High Quality Early Childhood Programs. Accredited programs, such as DCNS, have been found to be in substantial compliance with with the criteria.
Deerfield Community Nursery School is a not-for-profit program licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
